Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to wear or do anything special for my visit?
When you are ready, your massage therapist will leave the room and give you privacy to undress and get comfortable on the table under the top sheet (and blanket if desired). You may prefer to disrobe completely or to leave your undergarments on.
Whatever makes you feel the most relaxed and comfortable is what is best. Please let your massage therapist know when they return to the room if you would like any changes in the heat on the table, the position of the bolster, or if you need the face cradle adjusted.
How long do I have to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
We require 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment
How early should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive a few minutes early for your appointment. This allows you to feel relaxed and not rushed. We request arriving 10 minutes early to your first massage appointment to complete your new client forms if you have not done so online before you come in.

Your massage therapist will greet you upon your arrival. They will make sure all your paperwork is complete. If you have any coupons or special offers, please let your massage therapist know when you arrive.

While your massage therapist is reviewing your forms, it is a good idea to use the restroom before your massage appointment begins.
What is your COVID-19 policy?
We are requesting that you let us know if you have an upcoming appointment if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: Sore throat, fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, muscle pain, and loss of taste or smell.
We will gladly reschedule your appointment. We are doing our very best to keep all of you and The Lavender Wellness and Massage community safe and healthy
What are your procedures for inappropriate behavior?
As Licensed Massage Therapists, we take our craft very seriously. In the event that a client is verbally or physically sexually inappropriate, the session is ended immediately and the incident is reported to the Belmont Police Department for follow-up (This included contact info)
Are walk-ins and same-day appointments available?
We occasionally do have last-minute cancellations due to illness or other unforeseen situations and offer those appointments to our stand-by list of regular clients. We do not offer same-day appointments for new clients.
Do you offer couples massage?
We offer to have one or two massage therapists come to your home and work on the couple. We do not currently offer couples massage in our Belmont location at this time. Please call (857)212-6516 to schedule your couple’s massage
Are your massage therapists licensed and certified
Yes! All of our massage therapists are Nationally Certified and Licensed in Massachusetts. We are members of the American Massage Therapy Association.
If I’m attracted to my massage therapist, can I ask him or her out
Our professional ethical code of conduct requires us to make sure boundaries are clear, and massage therapist-client relationships must be kept professional, or terminated if things become personal. Additionally, we have a zero tolerance policy and any sexual advances, innuendo, or inappropriate touching is grounds for immediate termination of your session.
Can I joke about “happy endings” even if I have no interest in receiving one?
No, not even as a joke. This is disrespectful to your massage therapist and our profession. Additionally, we have a zero tolerance policy and any sexual advances, innuendo, or inappropriate touching is grounds for immediate termination of your session.
What should I do after I receive a massage?
It is a good idea to hydrate both before and after your massage with water or fresh juice. Also, plan to take it easy for a bit after your massage.
